#1
Hi Guys,
My childs bicycle brakes if it is pedelled in reverse. Is there any way to remove this brake?
I am a rookie in bicycle repairs please let me know how to do it.
cheers

Short of changing the rear hub or wheel, I don't think there is an easy way to do this.<br />
You could open up the hub and take out the brake shoes. I think that might get rid of the braking if he pedals backwards just a little. But I'm not sure what would happen if really spun backwards.
Lot's of kid's bikes have both the pedal and hand brakes. Any particular reason you want to get rid of the pedal (coaster) brake?
