Cassette Pins
#1
I have a SRAM 9 speed cassette that had t teeth broken off of the 23t cog, well no big deal right, I ordered a new one form my LBS and it only cost 7 bucks. The problem is that the Cog does not have the hole for the pin to go through.

Question, Can I use it without the pin and just put them all on the freehub body and tighten it up?

As far as I recall the pins are only in there to keep the cassette together when it is not on the freehub. Actually, it is impossible to put it on in the wrong way, but having it in one piece is so much more convenient.

You can drive the pins out then install your new 23t cog.
My dad always told me a Sledge a matic can fix any thing.

Ok I put it on cog by cog, got everything lined up right. I tightened it really good and it works fine.
