1993 Specialized Rockhopper Comp
#1
These were one of the best years ever made in the Rockhopper line up for the steelies. Full Deore Lx equipped in stock configuration. I swapped the Rapidfire for DeoreXT top mount thumbies, added custom built Mavic XC717 wheelset laced to DeoreDX hubs, Shimano DX platform pedals, Specialized Pro2 seatpost and some ano flavor here and there to sweeten her up a tad. Last but not least, my usual "Fluff and Buff". Just another lost post so here it is once again. Enjoy! I included the before picture also.

This bike is so amazing. Hard to imagine a 1993 pain job lasted so long with such high quality. Big kudos

Thanks Andrew, glad you enjoyed it. She is sweet. I think I paid $80 or a $100 for it as in the first pic. Then gutted it to a frame off resto with some Nos parts of era and a custom wheelset and some Ano here and there. Roughly a $1200 resto job. Should be good for another 20yrs or so.
