[attachment=5258][attachment=5259][attachment=5260]This was my first store bought bike. Got it in 1967 or 68. I did some modifications to it. I found a rear wheel with a 2 speed gear system, that is what the lever is for on the handlebars. I replace the front wheel with a skinny one from a 10 speed bike. A generater powered headlamp. You can see the rest of the little upgrades. Saddle bag behind the seat the book rack in the front. Two out of 3 years I won what was called a bicycle rodeo at my elementary school. The two speed gear system was able to let me kick ass in the race. I actually had to ask if I could you use it because I thought was cheating because I beat everybody. That was fun.
My next bike was a Schwinn Varsity 10 speed, 1972.
Then came motocross. No bike riding for a few years.
Bought a Sears Free Sprit 10 speed in 1983. Had that for 20 years.
Now I have a Panasonic All Terrain bike. From what I can find out, it looks like it was manufactured in 1985. I just got it a month ago and it was all original. Had to replace the tires and the tubes and the seat, new handlebars, speedo, kickstand, a water bottle. I had to clean and remove everything, and lubricated all the cables and the bearings and chain.
That's my shortened story.
