Hey all been sometime as usual it has been a very busy summer. Anyways I just wanted to share this story as it is very classic and funny.

You do that here, in Central California you better use a pay phone or a burner cell, cause out here, the thieves have no fear, they'd track you from your phone number and change your life.
They'd better not see the plates on your car either.

Great "feel-good" story Bill. But it does remind me that we all need to be diligent about our bikes. Don't make them easy to steal.

I live in Phoenix, Az where bike thefts are high and recovery is so so unless you have something very unusual that gets stolen. I have a '96 schwinn sidewinder that I use a cable, a u locck and 4 feet of tow chain to secure it with if its in a bad area, so far, no attempts to steal it!

Hi Bill. Ye I read that story before.

I had a nice Trek 830 stolen at a mall. The 3/8" cable luck was cut. Now I never leave my bike out of my sight.
Be careful out there.
