Not to bad in dry conditions but in the wet they are embarrassingly loud! I have fitted new pads, and thoroughly cleaned the rotors b4 fitting but its made no difference whatsoever!
any tips folks?
Cheers
Hmm, new pads and cleaned the discs would have been the first thing to try. If all is set up well per specs, maybe a different type of pad may work better. Did you clean the discs up with some 600 grit emory cloth, than wipe with disc cleaner, if the disc has holes in it cleaning with q tip is recommended first. Rough up the pads on some 80 grid sandpaper. You can go to an automotive parts store and find a special paste used on backs of brake pads and try that too.
Never Give Up!!!
Hi and thanks for your reply
I have this morning done what you said so I hope this works. In the past, with the old pads I gave them a good sanding and cleaning, but it made no difference...I never did the rotors though...so I hope this now works! The screeching is unbearable! lol
If not I will replace the rotors, and try different pads
I will keep you informed
cheers
well so far so good, brakes very quite again now!...still to test in the rain yet though...lets see!
