Ghost Bikes

There was a discussion about "Ghost Bikes" once. I was not aware of that. But I have noticed a few in my area one in Venice on 11th and Oak and one in Calabasas? on Mullholand Hway and Kannon Dume Rd.

Too many of those showing up in the Tampa Bay area lately. One of the highest areas in the country for pedestrian and bicycling fatalities. There's one just up the road from me that was the result of two stupid college students drag racing and one of them lost control, went off the road and right over the cyclist riding in the bike lane.

Its sad. I was riding my Motorcycle in Santa Monica Mountains, LA and spotted that bicycle. Sadly I also saw several crosses for crashed motorcyclists. I got hit myself on Topanga Cynon road when a woman took a left turn right into me. Most motorcycle fatalities there are crashes, lots of racing.

I do not ride my bicycle on streets. I take it to the beach bike path and ride there.
