Spoke length confusion

Hi all,

A spoke on my rear wheel suddenly snapped at the point of the hub.

I've measured the spoke at 9cm (90mm) but all I can find on the internet is places selling spokes of 250mm+.

I'm confused.....
Where can I buy some spokes of 90mm length??

I think you need to check again. 9 cm is way too short for any spoke except for maybe a child tricycle.

Ah how embarrising. I got confused as it was 9 inches not 9cm. So 228mm!

I think that you need a bit more resolution than that, spokes generally come in 2mm increments.

Actually even 1mm increases (some companies), though most just stock the even (or odd) lengths... and: yes, try to measure as exactly as possible...
