Does anyone have any opinions concerning Waterford or Gunnar steel frames. I'm considering saving for a steel frame bike. I'm not a racer but like high performance bikes. I will have to let LBS assemble the bike for me. Thanks for any input.
No strong opinion on Waterford/Gunnar. But they've got a great history and I'm sure they're really nice. I would just say that if you're planning to get a higher end steel frame like this (which you should!) start thinking about fit and geometry. That will be more important to how the bike rides and feels than a minor difference in tubing/design. A bike like this can easily last a lifetime, get one that fits you well.
I have a soma smoothie and I love it.
I appreciate the feedback from everyone. Steel is probably the frame material that suites my style the best. Although, the carbon fiber bikes look really nice.
