How to choose secure chain?
#1
i am a bike novice, but already had 2 bikes stolen, using u locks and cables.
Does anyone know anything about bike locks? Which is best/most secure? Is Kyrptonite the best brand? How do I decide on most secure bike lock? Chain vs U lock? if so what type of chain, steel, gold, ect?
Thanks in advance for advice.

Man, where do you live. Bad luck. Best off all never leave your bike out of sight.

Second best is the new flat key line of Kryptonite Evolution U locks. However I have seen stripped bikes with just the frame left secured. . Get rid of quick release wheels and use bolt on axles. Go back to rule number 1.

BTW Kryptonite makes long link locks(chain) also, for motorcycles etc. They weight almost as much as the bike :-))

Have your locks been broken or cut? What did you have?
Never Give Up!!!
