Crashed-Bike now clanks
#1
I recently crashed during a ride when it was wet and muddy out. My bike makes a clanking noise whenever I cost and is now starting to make a clanking noise but not as often, when I pedal. I took off the cassette and put it back on and everything look ok there. Nothing is hitting anything either. It only occurs when I am sitting on my bike as well. Could it be something with the bottom bracket?

If it happens coasting or pedaling, more likely to be an axle issue.

Like Dave said probably an Axle problem. Turn it upside down and move both wheels side to side listening and looking to see if there is the same sound and alot of play.
Good maintenance to your Bike, can make it like the wheels are, true and smooth!
