Tire rotation survey
#1
I have been using my road bike on my trainer for almost 500 miles since December. I am curious as to how often (miles/km) people rotate their tires when they use a trainer for inclement weather riding or just training for an event?

Since I haven't figured out how to do a poll on this message board, I'll just enter the values and you can respond accordingly.

Never
Every 500 miles or equivalent km
Every 1,000 miles or equivalent km
Every 1,500 miles or equivalent km

Thanks in advance for your answers.

When the house cats aren't looking, I fit on old worn out tires and tubes from the junk inventory, as needed. It's not a front to back rotation, per se and more of an art than a science. Hope this helps!

generally rotation is a bad idea.

Always have the best tire on the front, thus some people put the front on the rear, and only get new front tires when the rear wears out.

My intention was to keep from having one new, one old tire on the bike. Even though bike tires aren't that expensive, like car tires, I was hoping to change the entire set so that both tires are new. I guess I need more research on the subject.
