X9 Help please
#1
I am trying to remove the X9 derailer cage. The plate attached to the derailer body has no type of screws or anything that indicates how to remove it.

Has anyone had any experience with this?

Jordan. Only the X.0 has a replaceable cage which means that the X.9 and all others are swaged at the pivot. It could be done but (always a 'but'), cheaper to replace even though it's a $90 part.

If I may ask; why do you feel a need to do this?

Thanks, I wanted to get it anodized to match some of my other components. I just found out it's really inexpensive.

Jordan. Bad idea on a part to anodize. You really need to chill on the Color Co-ordination theme and get brown mud on it. LOL Wink
