Novice Tool Selection
#1
Hey Everyone!
I'm new to the biking world, and I was wondering what tools are used more frequently than others. I'm on a tight budget, and can probably only afford to get a few at a time. Any suggestions? Thanks -Josh

The first tools to get would be for maintenance. To keep with you on rides There are some multi tools that are ok. Check out Nashbar and Parker tools.

Basic tools would include allen wrenches, some open end wrenches like a set of parker cone wrenches, an adjustable crescent wrench and screwdrivers and pliers. Tire levers and patch kit air gauge if you have schrader valves the stick type automotive work fine, pump. Also spoke wrench. You probably have some already.

Some lubricants like tri flow teflon lube for general use.
