Frame weight

hello,
Could anyone tell me what the weight of a good mountain bike frame should be? Not a top pro one, but lighter than a stock standard one you would maybe find on a low end mountain bike.

Mountain bikes come in several varieties, off the top of my head: XC, both hardtail and full suspension, all mountain, once again in both hardtail and full suspension varieties, downhill (full suspension), and trials (hardtail).

Hardtail XC will be the lightest and should probably be 2kg or less, whereas a trials and all mountain hardtails would generally be a built a bit heavier and beefier. Full suspension frames will be heavier still and for downhill frames, strength is more important than weight.
