BB and crankset fitting
#1
Hi, I'm building my fixed gear and I wanted to know something about bb and cranksets. My frame suggest to take a 106 to 108 mm bb. In this case, I wanted to order a 107 mm bb which can fit most of cranksets. The problem is that I don't know if any cranksets fit with any bb. In fact, I've seen some fixed gear bb that fit 103 mm. I wanted to know if it changes something 'cause 107 mm cranksets aren't that easy to find... I thought any cranksets would be good as long as you have the good bb length for your frame (in my case 107 mm). If so, I'll order a 107 mm bb and a crankset of 103 mm 'cause it fits well with the design.

Thx for the answers

Look at http://www.sheldonbrown.com/bbsize.html plus what he wrote about chainline. Plus you have to make sure it is the correct thread (if you use a reasonably new frame it should be ISO).
