For me? Nah! That split second you need to get your foot on the ground before you wipe out is huge. But where I ride, there are a fair few who do. And some with one clip on and one flat
I already have; and did it with road pedals. I crashed 3 times, one nearly into the river. One cleat (Look ) busted and I had a heck of a time climbing so a 7 mile course took 2 hrs. Never again!
I now use some type of 'bear claw' style (if that is the correct term). No MTB crashes since doing that.

Yup, I think those are the ones I use. It's hard to slip them off, but when you do, your shins get a going-over!

"YIKES!!!" I'm an old skateboarder, so I don't like things strapped to my feet... or clipped to them, lol. Gotta be able to bail when necessary!

Yeah, agree; however, riders who've been wearing them for years are just as quick as those of us who don't use clip-ons. I guess it's up to the individual how long and what you have to go through to get to that level
