Which cycling manager games are you playing?

Hey everyone
I’m looking to follow pro cycling more closely. The last couple of years have been quite busy (private life, passion projects) and there hasn't been much time for beloved pro cycling. I think a good manager game could help with that because I'll have more "staying at home time" now

What cycling manager games have you been playing recently? Has anyone here played such a manager game? Are you sticking with an older Pro Cycling Manager or trying out something new? Would love to hear your past (old-school days hehe) and recent experiences.

I used to play this Cycling Manager 2004 and send the whole team on a breakaway. Great times!

Welcome back to the cycling world! Man, I totally get taking a break for real life—life gets in the way fast.

To answer your question, most of us in the community are still mostly playing Pro Cycling Manager (PCM) by Cyanide. If you haven't played in a few years, PCM 24 or the newer editions have some solid quality-of-life updates, though the core engine still has its classic quirky moments (the AI can still do some baffling things in the sprints!). The modding community is where it's truly at though—grab the WorldDB mod day one, and you get all the real kits, names, and stats, which makes the immersion 10x better.

Aside from PCM, there's been a bit of buzz around some mobile and indie browser-based cycling managers like Cycling Manager Online or various simulation spreadsheets, but none of them really match the depth of managing a full WorldTour team from the calendar to the financial budgets like PCM does.

If you're looking for that old-school nostalgia, remember the days of Pro Cycling Manager 2006 or Cycling Manager 4? Dealing with rider fatigue and those ridiculous training sliders back then was a whole different beast.

Glad you've got more downtime now—who are you planning to take control of first? A stacked team like UAE, or a lower-division ProTeam to grind your way up?
