Hello, I am new to this forum. My name is Tamenund and I live in northern Lancaster County Pennsylvania.
I purchased an Aventon Level3 bike last April (2025) and have ridden it 1356 miles so far.
I am 69 years old and ride on mostly rural country roads. I try to choose roads that have very little traffic with the exception of farm machinery and Amish buggies.
I really don't see much of either of those, and since am retired I can chose the time and days that I ride to minimize the car traffic that I see.
My usual ride is thirty miles (more or less) and I try to go at least once a week. I hope to ride more now that the weather is warming up.

Gday @Tamenund, Great to have you on here. There's heaps of information, and I learned a lot from a different perspective.

Neat to see you out and about on your bike. It's a fantastic way of life!

Welcome here @Tamenund
I have ridden in your area before
Very nice country. I remember being around Bird in Hand and Intercourse.
Almost wiped out from the groove worn into the roads caused by the buggy wheels.

Thanks for the welcome messages.
While there are some Amish folks around here (my backyard runs up to an Amish farm) it's not like all I see are buggies and farm equipment.
I did have to ride past a manure spreader last spring that wasn't too pleasant, but if you live in a city you have to deal with city smells, and if you live in the country.......
I do get to see interesting things (both human and animal) on my rides.
I live about thirty miles northwest of Bird in Hand (which was named for a tavern back when most folks couldn't read and just went with pictures)
