E-bikes on trains in the UK - is it worth it?
#1
I'm considering my first e-bike. For someone like me, a leisure cyclist who uses trains, it's looking a bit of a tricky one. Apparently many UK stations don't permit e-bikes to be stored in their cycle racks (fire risk, I assume - I'm awaiting a reply from Network Rail). From my experience on national trains such as LNER, the space allocated for bikes is tiny and the hooks to hang bikes on make it very hard to lift a heavy bike.

What experiences do other UK e-bike riders have of taking them on trains?
