I can relate, man. My schedule and priorities are somewhat different.
But after watching Cavendish take 4-wins-in-a-week, I'm back in action. It was much fun watching him race in Turkey and grabbing those stage wins. I hope he'll give us a couple of seasons more.

Cavs' appearance is unlikely :/ Sam Bennett is their top guy

yea Cavendish most likely would not stay in the race until the last stage and therefore it does not make sense to have him as a backup sprinter

there are two flat stages in the last week for sprinters and two chances for Bennett including at Champs

Yep. Luckily, he was okay. It's been a while since the motorbike accident wave. You can't lose focus behind the wheel
How about Sagan taking it home today? Big Grin

Bernal looked tired today. He has 2 1/2 minutes over Caruso in the general classification and 3 1/2 over Yates who is the most dangerous. With two mountain stages to go, this still seems enough. Don't you think?

1 Egan Bernal Gomez (Col) Ineos Grenadiers 71:32:05
2 Damiano Caruso (Ita) Bahrain Victorious 0:02:21
3 Simon Yates (GBr) Team BikeExchange 0:03:23
4 Aleksandr Vlasov (Rus) Astana-Premier Tech 0:06:03
5 Hugh Carthy (GBr) EF Education-Nippo 0:06:09
6 Romain Bardet (Fra) Team DSM 0:06:31
7 Daniel Martinez Poveda (Col) Ineos Grenadiers 0:07:17
8 João Almeida (Por) Deceuninck-QuickStep 0:08:45
9 Tobias Foss (Nor) Jumbo-Visma 0:09:18
10 Giulio Ciccone (Ita) Trek-Segafredo 0:11:06

p.s.

Should be enough. It was just a little crack.

lost some 30sec more yesterday but there is no way back for Yates and the gap is too wide and can't be dealt with in Saturday's stage

Oh no. I forgot that the final stage is an individual time trial Confused
In theory, Caruso still got a chance then. Overall, this was a fun tour!

Froome got dropped in Dauphine and lost two minutes in the time trial. I don't think that he will ever get even close to his old form, unfortunately
