Bike wash - how often?
#1
Ciao.
Is there an unwritten rule about how often you should wash your bicycle? As a kid my bikes were muddy and dirty, and only rain water did the wash wash. Now I have this new road bike and it's time for me to become an adult and take care of the two wheeler.

I ride pavement, only, and sometimes there's dirt and grit around the BB area after riding on wet roads. I service the chain every 100 miles and when I do, I take a paint brush and brush the dirt off. A coat of mud would need washing off. I also give it an occasional coat of Armor-all protectant so dirt doesn't stick so well.
If I knew how to ride a bike properly, I'd do it every time.
