Horrid noise
#1
Hi
This is my first post so sorry if it's in the wrong area. Basically my mate has a claud butler urban 100 he wants to sell me for £90, it seems pretty well kept. The only problem is, on turns with the crank on higher gears, and on a backward wind, there's a horrid grinding noise. Looking at the cassette it seems quite loose, could this be the problem? Or could it be a problem with the bearing in the hub? I dunno whether the problem can be rectified at low cost.
Thanks

Maybe, maybe not.

Start with the cassette. Insist that the seller repair, or have the repair done before getting the money.
