Convex washer missing on br-7800
#1
Does anyone know where I can find a replacement convex washer used to mount the brake pads?

Looks like it is part of the "Shoe Fixing Bolt Unit" and the Shimano part number for that is Y-8A0 98030.

Thanks!

I'd go to a local bike shop, they might be able to order it. You can also contact Shimano (or the company that handles the imports in your country).

Thanks Joe. I have to go by there to pick up some parts any way. I'll ask them then. I was hoping I could purchase one somewhere online.

I have not yet come across an online shop that stocks these quite specialized replacement parts. Complete brakes: sure, but not the washers or other components alone. Maybe the washers from earlier models are compatible, so the LBS might have a broken brake that they can take apart?

After a little more research it looks like I would have to purchase the whole brake pad. You can find them on Amazon and elsewhere for $40. A lot for just the compound washer! LOL

I'm definitely going to ask the LBS if they have one like you said.

Thanks.
