I’m 6’3, 370lbs and want a bike that’s going to be able to handle the weight, but not break the budget. I don’t plan on doing anything but street riding. Any suggestions?

Hi johnboy,

Here are some links to similar queries: https://forums.bikeride.com/thread-7101.html?highlight=Weight+limit; https://forums.bikeride.com/thread-6931.html?highlight=Weight+limit

It seems most of the bikes designed for 400 pound riders are mountain bikes (MTBs) or "Fat Tire" bikes, but I am sure there are other bikes out there designed for your needs depending on cost. Not knowing your actual physique; if you have a few pounds to shed and you get out regularly, you may find yourself not needing quite the same bike design due to weight loss in fairly short order. I have a coworker who dropped 75 pounds rather quickly when starting to get a little more exercise.
